1. Contributions to Theory
- Clarify and complement theory of values, cultural values, traditional cultural values, Vietnam’s traditional cultural value system.
- Construct the conceptual framework for traditional cultural value education for students who major in Foreign Teacher Education, including the definition of traditional cultural value education, value formation process, model of traditional cultural value education, methods of, approaches to traditional cultural value education.
- Propose content of traditional cultural value education with specific demonstrations.
2. Contributions to Practices
- By analysing the international experience in educating young generation about of traditional cultural values, some lessons were drawn for traditional cultural value education in Vietnam.
- The research analyzes and evaluates the current situation of traditional cultural values in some universities of Foreign Language Teacher Education and points out some causes of the limitations of traditional cultural value education.
- Propose model of traditional cultural value education for students whose major is Foreign Teacher Education.
- Propose measures of educating students majoring in Foreign Teacher Education about traditional cultural values.
