Những đóng góp mới về học thuật, lý luận của luận án:

- Luận án đã tổng hợp, hệ thống hóa những vấn đề lý luận về giáo dục hòa nhập, kĩ năng xã hội và giáo dục kĩ năng xã hội; trong đó đặc biệt nhấn mạnh về sự tác động của yếu tố môi trường giáo dục hòa nhập đối với sự hình thành và phát triển các kĩ năng xã hội cho học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ.

- Luận án đã xây dựng được thang đánh giá kĩ năng xã hội dành cho học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ lớp 1 học hòa nhập, bao gồm 5 nhóm kĩ năng xã hội, xác định được những kĩ năng xã hội cần thiết cho học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ lớp 1.

            - Luận án đã phân tích, đánh giá toàn diện thực trạng kĩ năng xã hội và giáo dục kĩ năng xã hội cho học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ lớp 1 hòa nhập, từ đó chỉ ra những thành tựu, hạn chế và đưa ra những nhận xét, so sánh, bàn luận về kĩ năng xã hội của học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ lớp 1 và giáo dục kĩ năng xã hội cho học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ lơp 1 hòa nhập.

- Căn cứ cơ sở lý luận và thực tiễn, luận án đã đề xuất 5 biện pháp giáo dục kĩ năng xã hội cho học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ lớp 1 hòa nhập rất cụ thể, đồng bộ, đồng thời chứng minh được các biện pháp đề xuất không chỉ đáp ứng những vấn đề về lý luận mà còn những vấn đề của thực tiễn thông qua thực nghiệm về khả thi, tính hiệu quả của các biện pháp để giáo dục kĩ năng giao tiếp cho 3 học sinh khuyết tật trí tuệ

New findings of the dissertation:

         - The dissertation revewed, synthesized and systematized theoretical issues of inclusive education, social skills and educating social skill for pupils with intellectual disability; especially it emphasized the impacts of inclusive education environment factors to the social skill formation and development for pupils with intellectual disability.

         - The dissertation also developed a rating scale of social skills for pupils with intellectual disability at primary inclusive schools, including 5 groups of social skills, and identified  necessary social skills for first – grade pupils with intellectual disability.

       - Based on theoretical and practical information, the thesis proposed 5 specific and comprehensive recommendation on improving  social skills for first – grade pupils with intellectual disability at primary inclusive schools. The dissertation also proved that proposed recommendations does not only meet the theoretical issues but also practical issues through experiment the feasibility and effectiveness of methods of educating the communication skills for 3 pupils with intellectual disability.

        - Research results of dissertation play important roles as the basis materials to develop in-service training documents of social skill education for pupils with disability when they lean in inclusive primary schools; to assist  primary teachers, primary education school managers to run inclusive education effectively; and be the helpful reference for lecturers, students at colleges and universities on training delivery for special education.
